tragedy in family

hi guys .i haven't been on in a while . on april 5th my 25 year old daughter Shelby passed away in Hamilton Ontario in the hospital of septicemia. it is a blood infection and took her very quickly. she did not know she had it .doctor said she had the flu and gave her an inhaler and some anti biotics. her supposed friends took her to the hospital and dropped her at emerg and left her there alone at 7:00 pm .she passed away at 3:15 when i told them to shut off the life support.they only kept her on it till i could drive the 2 hours to get there to say goodbye. there was nothing could be done for her. she had a 9 month old baby named jaiden who will hopefully be coming to live with us. this is such a hard time for me now it is ripping me apart.she never got to spend even one mothers day with her child. instead i was standing at her grave with flowers for her from jaiden and myself. just breaks my heart. hug your kids guys or call them if seeing them is not possible. our futures are not promised to us . just today. i would give anything for ten more minutes with her. rest in peace Shelby. love you always .

Gary, that is so sad!! Thanks for sharing it with us though. Something that seemed so simple... the flu? My daughter had a tick bite over a year ago and she is still having issues from it with her immune system. Thank God we still have her. Condolences to you and your family, something you will never get over. I can only imagine.

Gary,

I find that I'm incapable of comprehending the loss of a child.
It's something that one would never recover from.
Your strength is astounding.
But all of us here can be a rock that you can lean on any time.
Do what ever it takes to hold your grandchild close. They are an amazing gift.
My heart goes out to you and your family.

"Live like you mean it!"

Fred

Gary,

So sorry. You have my sincere condolences. I can't even begin to fathom a loss of that magnitude.

Like Fred said, we are here if you need.
