Re: Working on the air conditioner in 100 degree heat in California
I have had a leak from day one in my ac lines at the firewall pass through block(block from Speed & Performace). At the time I used bulk head fittings in the block on both side, which have no way of sealing without an o-ring ( Vintage Air only use female type fittings).
So finally taking care of this before Indy. I needed to use Male o-ring type fittings(at the block) which Coldhose.com carries in Florida. Since I'm using a beadlock fitting, I had to crimp up 3 full new ac lines. It took a total of 9 new fittings, some #6, and #10 standard hose to do the job. I'm surprised that no one caught it just by the fittings going into the firewall :). Bulkhead fittings a nono seal! Been busy trying to finish this hardtop before Indy, & time is slipping away to fast. Have 3 windows tinted with ceramic film that need to go in. Lizard Skin, sound & Ceramic heat control. Both front and back bumpers have been replaced with Stainless steel one's, that don't have the Dolly Pardon holes n notches. The old bumpers are behind the car with the front lic plate on the front bumper. A test fit for the ghost strip placement. |

Re: Working on the air conditioner in 100 degree heat in California
This is our new rig that will be pulling our car trailer. Added air bags with in cab digital controller. Added a separate air compressor with 3 gallon holding tank to run air tools, tires etc. Added rear spring side control that ties the overload springs into full working load all the time.
This Cab over camper weighs in a wopping 6000lbs. Had to get a dully to handle it. It is called a Mammouth with 3 punch outs and side entry. It has a 20,000 thousand pound extension hitch. Talking some torque, this truck slams out 860ft pounds. Brenda just had the front side windows Ceramic tinted to match the rear windows. So this is why the MGB GT build has been on hold for a while :) This rig is 12 1/2 feet high! Need to know that for bridges :) |

Here you go Tim.
I believe they make them in Vietnam. It took about 6 day's to receive them. They are packed very well and the back side is painted flat black, which I painted again. They do look real nice!
