Insane Spitfire V12
No, not the airborne Spitfire. The itsy bitsy Triumph version.
Your chance to wake a piece of automotive madness from a 13 year slumber. [www.ebay.co.uk] Not only a V12, but a supercharged V12. I wonder what the story is behind that shop where it's sitting. Seems to have been a lot of work going on in there, and then.... nothing. Ivor |

Re: Insane Spitfire V12
Not just supercharged but with twin superchargers! (Didn't see anything remotely resembling an intercooler however)
Looks like a Sunday Driver to me. (he, he, he) Jim |

Re: Insane Spitfire V12
Wow!
Just when I thought that it couldn't get any harder to change the plugs on a V12. Impressive engineering to get all that under the hood. Live like you mean it. Fred |

Re: Insane Spitfire V12
Reminds me of the Bill Thgomas Cheetah with the exhaust headers running across the top of the driver's legs... OK for 1/4 mile drags, but waaay too hot for road courses & long races. ( look up CroSal special -
a Cheetah coupe turned into a roadster to keep the driver from roasting). Just because an engineer CAN do it, doesn't make it a great idea ! Doug |
