Anyone give me info on adaptor plate to install Disc brakes on my Stag
Can anyone give me the best donor for rear brake disc conversion on my 71 stag. I have seen Mustang II mentioned and was not sure if a mounting plate was needed. I have purchased Monarch aluminum for the front, but want to find an alternative for the rear.
I'm in North Carolina. Thanks, Jon(new member) |

Re: Anyone give me info on adaptor plate to install Disc brakes on my Stag
Jon - I don't know much about Stags, but based on a quick Google search, they have a semi-trailing arm style independent rear suspension. I'd share some pics with folks here as it's possible they use parts common to the TR-6 for which there is a proven path to convert to disk brakes on the rear.
Forget mustang Ii. When folks are talking about that, they are talking about front suspension, not rear. |

Think Tbird
Wait, is the Stag the same rear as a 6? |

If the Stag is like the TR6, Calvin Grannis and Don Watson have posts on here about upgrading to Nissan discs on the rear.
