Project update!

Work is done on the top end of the engine, the coil over conversion, and the complete rear axle build.
First the car rides like a dream. I am shocked at how different it feels on the road. Just in time for some long mountain runs in the fall. And the Conclave, if we have it.
The engine turned out really nice. I worked directly with Holley to come up with an appropriate fuel system. I replaced everything in the ignition, reset the valves, and cleaned and tightened everything. It used to be that I would touch the gas and get thrown back into the seat. Followed by a drop off in performance on the top end. Now the car is very easy to drive. Smooth power delivery across the RPM range. Now that everything is mechanically sound, I will try to get the paint done before the Conclave.

Major Update! I got everything up to date and the car is working as good as it ever has.. And I realized what I have been saying across this thread is true. I don't like working on cars anymore. This car has no safety features for it's speed and power and I don't enjoy the rush anymore.

I sold the car after listing it on a classic car website for 4 days. I got my asking price and I wish Ron all the best. I sent him the link to British V8. Hopefully he joins you. Happy Holidays to everyone.

Well, you went out on a high, job done. Again.
So many people lose heart, give up.

Happy Christmas, happy life.

Welcome Ron, hope you enjoy the car, it looks like it would be a riot to drive. Would love to see you and the car in Auburn in June.

Welcome.
Great car you've bought.
You'll have seen the original build here [www.britishv8.org]

There are still some original parts on the car, if you need replacement there is Moss Motors [mossmotors.com] (other vendors are available) and it may be useful for you to know about 6-Pack [forums.6-pack.org] although bear in mind they aren't too keen on modified cars.

Anyway, welcome.
