TR6 Radio Question

Anybody know if this radio could have been an original (optional) radio in a '72 TR6?
It came with my car, whose interior I am trying to keep original despite the engine swap. If this is original issue, I'll have it fixed up with new parts and reinstall. (It's Japanese made for an American company, so I have my doubts. Serial no. also has "1978" in it, which may be date.)

If anybody has a nice '72-era AM/FM push-button radio from a British Leyland vehicle gathering dust, I'm interested. A Blaupunkt from this era would be good too.

Thanks, Kris Palmer
