stag diff & rear hub conversions

just like to try & find out what sort of conversions have been done on triumph stag rear ends??
i hear the rear hubs are a problem area, especially if any track work is planned. rear hubs letting go with wheels comming off & stags rolling over,???
would like to keep it as an irs but would consider solid axle conversion to ford 9" if there was any proven conversion out there???
has anybody converted to australian holden commodore irs set up ? including commodore hubs & brakes
or that ford thunderbird irs do they use the complete set up with hubs & brakes ??
any suggestions or knowledge in this area would be great news to hear from you.
hope to hear from some stag converters, thanks murray.
