progress sort of....
Finally dropped the car off at the body shop to get worked over and painted. In the mean time I decided the frame needed to get beefed up a little. Too bad I decided to do this after I painted it. Anyway, I am running out of motivation at the tale end of my 4 year project and hope I keep up the steam to get this thing done. A few pics of the progress.

Re: progress sort of....
I am working on basically the same challenge as you (2JZGE N/A) and had to take a year off because not enough money / Time / Energy . To keep going. I believe its time to get started again!!! never say die!
The attached picture is my car coming back from paint. I guarantee once you see your car back from paint you will be re energized. Good luck! Oh yeah, if you get to the steering before I do please post pictures!! Just an FYI. I was @ a car show near me and a dealer had a set of Brake/clutch master cylinders from Wilwood complete with pedals (for sand rail), looked to be a solution that would work great!.. If like me you find stock location doesnt work any more:( Rusty Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/11/2009 08:50AM by Rusty. |

Re: progress sort of....
Rusty,
The steering is already figured out. Never took any pictures of it and without the tub I can't show anything. Essential just needed to run one extra joint. The line is still pretty straight, just need to angle the steering shaft below the aft section of the intake manifold. I will post pictures when I get everything back and start putting it together. Any pics of the brake and clutch pedal assembly and price, model number. I can make the stock system work with a little modification. But I am always open to slicker solutions. |

Re: progress sort of....
The body of the car has become the pet project, or nightmare of the body shop. They have had it since May it is a fixed price job, so they work on it when things are slow. It is supposed to be done any week. The only thing left is exterior paint and the spray on clear bra. Once I get it back I need to attach all the panels with dumdum sealant and see how fast this project assembles itself.
