Made it to the wedge list
[tampa.craigslist.org]
Nfi and all that. Seemed suitable for the site. Feel free to remove if not - since it is technically a for sale... |

Re: 69 Austin Healy HotRod
For the time being I've merged two threads.
Before long I'll delete them. First, I'll point out the four problems I have with them: 1) The Craigs List links will soon go dead - they always do, don't they? - and after that the two posts will have no meaningful content at all. I find dead-end threads really annoying. Is it just me? 2) Martin's post includes photo attachments. I don't believe he owns the copyright. If I leave them on this message board I risk legal problems. Posting them here is a violation of this board's written policies. 3) As Alan mentioned, we also have a written policy about for-sale ads for completed conversions for which no How It Was Done has been submitted. Someone in Florida has built a very interesting car. It would be a great addition to our photo gallery and to our How It Was Done record. It would be a great service to our community if someone would contact the car's builder and convince him/her to submit a write-up and more detailed photos. 4) Misspelling Donald Healey's last name is a horrible sin. |

Just me, or is that paint absolutely hideous?

David, Try not to hate. Somebody put a "lot" of work into that paint job. Cheers, roverman.

Re: 69 Austin Healy HotRod
Looks like good workmanship, but a V8 in a Spridget doesn't leave much leg room as the foot wells are so narrow. Most run automatics because there isn't any room left for a clutch pedal. I'd hate to think about driving this car half way across the country to a British V8 meet.
