New 100 owner
Hey guys and girls,
I recently purchased a 1956 100-4. It has a 350 with a Muncie 4 speed. The engine needed much tuning (I think I have it dialed in now),trans needed some work, new rear tires, seat belts, steering wheel,I striped the dash left it bare aluminum and I re-dyed the interior. I spent a couple of days compounding and waxing the paint, it really shines now. I purchased it from California and it now lives in Long Island NY. I use an iPad and would love to post pics but the forum says the pics are too big to post. Anyone know how to post pics with an iPad? I use it with other forums and never had an issue. Keith |

Re: New 100 owner
I was able to email myself the pictures and select the correct size to post the pics to the forum.
If anyone knows the car or has any info on it please let me know! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/08/2016 10:20AM by aero3113. |

Re: New 100 owner
Google "Edelbrock triangular air cleaner" and "fire" and make your own decision.

Re: New 100 owner
Thanks guys.
Rick, I have read about positive and negative experiences people have had with the air cleaner. There are people that have had them on their car for 10-20 years with no issues and then there are people that have had issues. I think it all depends on how well you look after your engine and keep it properly tuned. |

That's a great pic Janelle -- definitely puts it in perspective!
Keith - where abouts on Long Island? Most of my family has moved, but I used to spend a lot of time in Smithtown & Brentwood. Also had family in Queens & Roslyn. On the air cleaner, I might be wrong, but I think the important thing is to make sure the foam insert stays properly maintained (oiled, isn't dry rotted, etc.). |

Re: New 100 owner
Might try more offset to the outside on the wheels.

Re: New 100 owner
Thanks Jim, that's an option but I'd rather not have to replace the wheels if I don't have to. It just seems like the black hub sticks out so far from the disc.

Re: New 100 owner
Thank you for the pic. Maybe I can find a hub that sits closer to the disc? I would love to convert back to knock-offs and wire wheels one day!

Re: New 100 owner
i prefer bolt on wheels and it appears that you have bolt on hubs. if i were you i would change to a narrower matching bolt on front wheel. and you can have a set of healey road wheels widened fairly inexpensively. i have stock width wheels on my bn6 and widened 7 inch wheels on the rear. might look into that as well. if you decide to revert back to knockoffs i would be interested in your front hubs. thanks
