180 vs. 240 deg. headers ?

If 180 degree headers work on an 8 cylinder, why not 240 degree on a 6 cylinder ? Yes, perhaps not as good of scavenge, but still a distinctive sound ? Possibly a waste of time for a supercharged motor, but some positive for turbo boosting ? Your thoughts ? art.
