215 Front Timing Cover Seal
Does anyone have a number for the neoprene replacement seal for the rope seal for the timing chain cover? I had a neoprene one installed but is leaked really bad and I did not have a number for the replacement. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have mine apart trying to find a seal.

Re: 215 Front Timing Cover Seal
Jeff, Take your old seal or front cover to the auto parts store and compare to the 75-80 231 Buick V6 seal. The front cover has to come off to install from back side. D&D or T/A also have a replacement seal.

Re: 215 Front Timing Cover Seal
D&D wants $20 for that seal. It comes in the kit for late 70s Buick V6 timing cover gasket kit. Entire kit is $10 at the local autopepzone. Just tell them 78 Regal because as soon as you say Buick V6, their head is going to implode.
