Engine weights

Found this. It may be old hat to some, but the weight part I hadn't seen before:

The LS2 and 3 are seriously light for what you get hp wise...

Oh yea... I want that 330 hp, 350" sbc with iron vortec heads, at 298 lbs. That "must" be with-out intake, let's see heer, 312 lbs. with, right ? That explains why my all alum. Rover has been ,"levitating" lately, roverman.

I'm with Graham on this one. I've seen a few all aluminum LS engines weighed and I can't see how an engine with virtually the same block/internals + iron heads could weigh 100lbs less. Must have left off some parts when it was on the scale :)
