Strange looking contraption. Does it install in the Plenum or onto an injector? :-)

It's for a carb, Kelly. Little piece of metal that blocks the squirter shot. So, instead of a stream it changes it to more of a fan shaped spray. I have my doubts, but for $40, may try one on the front of my carb.

Interesting product.....functionally, makes sense for better fuel atomization and throttle response.
Would be nice to get some user feedback before investing $80.......are you listening, Carl ?

Just $40 for the front half of the carb. A guy on Facebook bought into it. I think it is probably much ado about nothing.

As you know, the squirter nozzleis just where the fuel comes from when the accelerator pump is activated. It is a temporary fuel supply, so how does it make that horsepower on the graph?

Might aid a stumble, bog, hesitation issue, maybe?

The obvious question is why Edelbrock, Holley, et al, didn't design a nozzle atomization product for their carbs - seems too simple and logical to overlook.

I agree, Graham. Seems they would have done it, except they haven't changed those carb designs in 50 years.

Typically your pump shot is aimed at the edge of the annular boosters and breaks up when it hits there.

The theory is good.
Atomise the fuel.
Used to be a doohikus that you could add to an SU to scrape the liquid boundary layer of fuel off the intake walls, it was called the Mangoletsi Manifold Modifier.

I had a pair on my 215.
No idea whether they worked!

The accelerator pump stream is atomized by aerodynamic shearing forces when it hits the airstream in the venturi. If any of these snake oil products worked half as well as claimed, they'd already be incorporated in the product design from the original manufacturer. The one I find most amusing is the throttle body spacer plates for port EFI motors. If an extra 3/4" of runner length made such a big performance difference, why wouldn't the intake manufacturer simply cast the runners that much longer? Sorry, these products peg the BS meter.

On SOME engines a 1 or 2" riser under the carb does give a performance benefit under some circumstances. Certainly not all.
