Lt77 gearbox position
Hi guys
Can I ask the position of the lt77 when looking from underneath? I have fabbed the existing mountings and cross member and when looking underneath the gearbox is isn’t exactly level with the floor of the car. I would say it hangs about 1” below the floor at the prop shaftt end My question is should the gearbox be level with the floor? Thanks |

Quote:Generally speaking....no! Engine/xsmn usually has a power angle of, typically, 3 degrees tail down....matching the rear axle pinion of 3 degrees up. |

Re: Lt77 gearbox position
Yep sussed it. I was 15mm out on the new towers on the cross member . so rather than re fan again I got some new cotton reels 15mm thicker and these worked spot on. Now it sits neatly and the gear shift protrudes vertically into the car.
