300 Buick test run mov
[www.youtube.com]
This is an iron head 2bbl Buick 300, probably a '67 with about 50K miles on it which has passed leak-down and oil pressure checks and is now getting a short test run. Next comes a follow-up leak down test, compression test, a little more clean-up and paint, after which the intake, valve covers and pan come off, along with the front cover. It will get new gaskets and most of the common oiling mods, after which an aluminum intake will be modded to accept the Eaton M112 blower. Stock compression ratio is 9:1 so boost can be in the 5-8 psi range with no issues. Jim |

Re: 300 Buick test run mov
Jim, you probably know the 300/340 iron heads are identical ? Big intake/tiny exh. valves. My WAG. is the exh. will flow around 60% of the intake ? No need to shorten exh. duration cam to build boost.
Good Luck, art. |
