1994 GM 3.4SFI V-6 PCM/Fuel Pump question

Connector A of the 94 Camaro PCM has two fuel pump system connections. Pin 8 and Pin 6. Pin 6 looks pretty straight forward. Voltage TO that pin should be battery voltage as soon as the relay is engaged. Then, I assume, Pin 8, "Fuel Pump Request" is voltage OUT to energize the relay and the blk/wht connection on the relay is to a good ground. SO, Pins 85 & 86 on the relay coincide with Fuel Pump Request from the PCM and Ground. Pin 30 would be B+ and Pin 87 would be power to the pump. Am I correct in assuming that the PCM initiates a Fuel Pump Request as a function of turning the key from OFF? Phew..................... ALMOST THERE with the project.............. Thanks in advance............

Tom,

What does your wiring diagram say? It should be detailed there.
