What was the number they used on the Lightning Art? Was that 112?

Yes. Stiegmeier ports it to add about 60hp. They claim max efficiency at 15.75 lbs. boost/manifold. On 5.7L with M122, I want 8-10 lbs. Keep it under 650hp. as per Aarrington,( hemi guru).

I've been using the 112 with the Buick 340 (5.7L) to provide 5psi of boost. Works quite well in an MGB. Compression is around 10:1

Hi Jim,
did you measure discharge temp at 5 psi./ Drive ratio ? Intercooler ? Fuel ? What heads ? I would like to use E85.

Hi Art. I haven't gotten around to measuring the discharge temp but at 5psi it wouldn't be much, and being for short duration bursts only there isn't much time to heat things up. Not enough for an intercooler to do any good I don't think. I have a big air/fluid intercooler in the intake but have disconnected the coolant lines. I do run spark retard however. I'd have to check the drive ratio but I think it's a 6.5" crank pulley and 3" blower pulley, or it could be a little under 3". Been running high test but everything around here has 10% ethanol. Aluminum Buick 300 heads with 10:1 CR.

I'm building the next engine with TA heads and a target CR of 10.5:1. This one will not have an intercooler.

6.5", crank and 3" blower + 2.16 overdrive . What cam spec's ? Seems maybe a little low on boost vs. blower speed ?

Pretty mild cam, .436 lift, .262 duration (.212 @ .050), 112* lobe separation. DCR is just a smidge on the high side.

I can't help it if the boost seems low to you, that's what I'm seeing as actual. With the 215 and a bit more overdrive (2.8") I was seeing 16psi+ from an M90 (stock cam) but there is a big difference in the displacement. I was expecting around 7 or possibly more but 5 is what I've got. It may go up a bit if I install stiffer valve springs and raise the redline, but for now I'm limited to 5K. I really wouldn't expect to see it go over 6.

Jim
