I have bought my self a "Oldsmobile Cutlass F-85 1963" with the aluminum 3,5L V8. Seems to be an issue with finding spare parts to this model. But as Rover got it hands on the engine and continued with it for a long time, there shold be some interchangeable engine parts to use from Rover ?

Does anyone here have any knowledge about this ?

I’ve had a few 62/63 f85/cutlass, don’t recall engine parts being hard to come by. What are you looking for?

Many engine parts are relatively easy to get, but some are not. The Olds 215 uses different heads and valvetrain parts from the Buick/Pontiac/Rover versions. The correct water pumps for the 61-63 motors are no longer readily available. You will have to pay the price at a specialty rebuilder.

Many of the engine parts are common with those on later Buick V6 and V8 motors, including timing set, oil pump, distributor, cam (obviously not common with the V6).

The rest of the car can be very difficult to get parts for. The 63s have a lot of one-year-only parts, including the steering linkage. Sheet metal and trim parts are pretty much non-existent.

Thank you guys👍
I’m still just considering a engine rebuild. But not sure about new parts accessibility, might be issue finding.
Have some oil leaks from engine and gearbox. Would be easier finding engine parts if it was possible to buy Rover parts...
