Converting to an Intermediate cover kit and the water pump hub on the existing TR8 WP is to small
Ideas?

Intermediate cover is serpentine type, right ? Different pump and pulley and pump rotates in different rotation. Old type pump will not work in intermediate cover. I am not sure if it even physically fits.

If you really need to mate these together a simple adapter plate is needed. Not necessarily pretty though. Or machine a new pulley. Rover used various pumps and pulleys throughout the years and some are most likely NLA.

That timing cover is made by John Eales. It is designed to be used with SD1 or P6 type water pump, similar to TR8. It is not a factory intermediate cover.

According to John, that is a SD1 pump and I need a P6 pump

I'm trying to see if I can get an adapter made out of al
If not I guess Rimmer Bros for a new pump
