Looking for recommendations on a builder. Build would be a mild 281-ish CI motor looking for 280-300 HP. I have most of the hard parts (sleeved block, 300 crank with mains turned down, 300 heads that may or may not need porting) just might have to change shops due to 2020 and all.

Closer to Portland the better.

They're booked out until November. Not even accepting drop offs due to lack of space. Others?

I don't think he is any longer Jim. It's been years since I've heard any news about the business.

I was at Phil's place a few times back in the day. He was a really nice guy and a wealth of knowledge. Still running a Phil Baker modified block in my car.

Bill

You may check with Autosport in Seattle. They did the sleeving and the machining on my 4.6.

Thanks! I'll keep them on a short list for a backup. Do they have a flow bench and/or an engine dyno?

Zack - I cannot answer those questions as they only did the machining work for me.

I have not seen a flow bench or dyno but they do Brit and euro engines(Jag, rolls,Ferrari, etc) and vintage. Quality work
