Fuel Economy Advice 3.5 V8 Pick-up
In 1980 I bought a 1963 Oldsmobile F85 jet-fire with a 215 aluminum block v-8 ( factory supercharged...factory retrofitted with a carb). That was my first experience with what later became the 3.5 L Rover motor, and it was a good little powerplant for that car. I have just bought and am importing to Canada a Land Rover pick-up to replace my Series 3. The "new" truck is a 1994 Land Rover Hi Capacity pick-up with the 3.5 L v-8 motor. While I know the vehicle is off topic, I am having a difficult time finding any advice on how to maximize fuel economy ( not performence) for this motor. I would welcome any advice that comes my way about minor modifications that result in improved economy numbers for the 3.5 L. Your thoughts?

Re: Fuel Economy Advice 3.5 V8 Pick-up : poor response
Not a single response? I thought gas was expensive in the UK? Is nobody interested in better fuel economy....or is it just impossible with a 3.5 litre v-8?
