The Offy 2x2bbl and 4bbl manifold is a very good starting point for a 6V-71 roots type blower,(GMC),installation. These were used on the V6's, and are 2" shorter on overall length.Output is 10% less than BIG 6-71. "Dyers Blowers" sells a mount/adapter plate, for this specific blower, and it welds nicely onto the Offy manifold. Whole package appears "correct". I bought this blower, N.O.S. for $200. These aren't mainstream so their pricing reflects that. USA Blowers prepped it and claims it will make 20 psi continous,(290" motor). I'll post pic's soon. Cheers, roverman.

Jim, Just the "fuel",(E85). According to Superchargers USA, these blowers "want" wet rotors. I had them hard anodized. I suspect the "Merlins" will make good blower heads ,with (6) studs per bore. Happy New Year y'all. roverman.

Thanks for the lead, Jim M. I'm considering if two of these would "feed" ,a built 5.7L hemi.I would like to use Edelbrock's dual plane/ dual quad manifold(a bargain). Real World price of a suitable controller ? Cheers, roverman.

Jim, This is late, but I bought a Offy 2x2 many years ago. my idea was to use up some of my SU carbs by mounting four, utilizing two home made "Y" adapters. Would look kinda cool, but would it work? Steve

Is smarter. Re-flashed/upgraded,GM # 227747 ecm., cost $430 from "bobr@dynamicefi". Add $75 to drive (4) injectors. NO AFFILIATION. roverman.

Art, FAST EZ EFI. Looks like a Holley 4 barrel. Not cheap though.
Steve, I don't know if you meant Jim B. or me,but the "BOXER" manifold with 4 SU's looks just like you describe. Or maybe you can adapt the SU's to the Weber 2 barrels to 4 barrel adapter to a dual quad manifold.

Jim N, That Boxer manifold looks tough. Is it some ones home made special? Hard to tell if it's cast of welded up. My idea would place the four carbs in aprox same place using the offy 2x2 with adaps. Somtimes I think I think too much about this stuff. Nah.

Steve, I believe it's a British Rover racing manifold. I just thought you would like to see how the runners are spaced. Your idea would work fine.
