150K mile block, some rust, honed, which piston rings to use?

I have a block that had 150K and sat for a while. There was some rust in the cylinders, nothing major, not terribly deep. Honed the cylinders, got most of it out. I ordered Hastings chrome rings, nut the machine shop guy is telling me that they may not work well for these cylinders and suggests regular cast iron rings instead. Supposedly they will seal better on a somewhat imperfect cylinder?

He's right. That's why you pay him the big bucks. Iron rings are your friend when you're overhauling instead of rebuilding.

So, who makes cast iron rings for Rover V8? Where can I order a set, preferably stateside?

I see Deves rings and AE, which ones are the better ones?
