For the record, ports measure 1.0-1.07" wide x 1.700" tall, not runner ported, just matched to ported TR8 head. Overall height 3.75" front of carb base and 4.0" rear, without carb adapter. This manifold added 3-4 cfm. airflow to head flow. Good Luck, roverman.

Art,

Good info on Huffaker manifold.

It is now in my new 3 ring binder for the RV8 - the one that Bill Young reminded me to put together and add to after each race.

Stuff like this info sure makes it easier - days/weeks/months later - to make decisions for changes.

Thank you.

For my unported Huffaker, I got 1" wide by 1.75" tall, the
same as a Buick 300 or GM 215 race head. The short runners
measured 2.6875" long and the long runners were 4.375" for
an average 3.53125" length (required input for Dynomation
simulations).

By "matched to ported TR8 head" do you mean a factory TR8 head
or to your ported aftermarket Merlin heads?

That's often the case with a bare single plane intake manifold.
You'll likely see a decrease with a Holley carb body in place.
We did when we tested the Huffaker and Willpower with a Holley
carb body (throttle plates wired open) in place.

Dan and clan, Huffaker ported TR 8 heads,( came with the GT1 car). Ported Merlin's measure 1.0" x 1.80". Dan I'm not sure what dim. we used for average runner length/ Dynomation, for my cam selection. I'm wondering how to "sqeeze" 830 cfm. anything, onto Huffaker opening ?Thanks, roverman.
