Racers,

Curtis may be glad to know that a first attempt to "fix" the venting and oiling problem with the RV8 GT2 car, incorporates his suggestion for fixing the problem. That is, a heavy new hose connecting the fuel pump port to the vent-to-catch tank hose from the left side valve cover.

Bill Young crafted a new plate and coupling to the fuel pump port and a new coupling to the valve cover port to the catch tank.

Photos to follow.

keep them on the track

Guys here with the larger 4.6 and 4.4 engines use a vacuum pump and have no issues with crank case pressure or oiling.

So, where are the photos?

Is it possible to install oilpump of 4.4 or 4.6 into 4.0 engine? It has greater efficiency, I guess

P.S.: Sorry for my english, if i did mistakes - not my mother tongue

The 4.0 with 4 bolt mains has the same oil pump as the 4.6 also same timing cover.

Not a problem. The 4.0 and 4.6 differ in the crank, pistons & connecting rods. The heads, block, timing chain, timing cover, etc are all the same.

Photo of the vent tube installed. Haven't had a chance to get on the track and test it's effectiveness yet.

Sorry for off-top, but are there some tables with measurements of cranks, pistons, etc. of Rover V8, and other differs of these engines?
