Pizza Pan Radiator Shroud

Saw this on FFCars.com for the Factory Five Cobra replicas. Thought it was pretty ingenious and might work on some of our cars:

"I ordered he pans from "Food Service Warehouse.com". Rectangular pan #ALBA0214 - Pizza pan #HA90181.5. I cut the rectangular pan in 2 equal pieces adding up to the width I needed. Then cut a half 15" circle in each. I joined the 2 pieces back together with (2) 2" square pieces of aluminum and 8 1/8 rivets. I cut a 15" circle out of the pizza pan and riveted it to the rectangular pan w/1/8 rivets. Because I used a band saw, I had to join the 2 ends of the pizza pan back together with a small piece of aluminum. The mounts were made from 3/4 x 1/8 bent aluminum bar (Home Depot), joined to the recangular pan w/3/16 rivets. I trimmed the flange of the rectangular pan a little to clear and outlet inlet flanges. I used the 12 small holes to mount the stock FFR fan w/3/16 SS bolts. Four 1/4 SS bolts mount it to the radiator. The only problem encountered is that the rectangular pan is made from soft aluminum, but when riveted to the harder pizza pan, It becomes very ridged and strong".

Now that's thinking outside the pizza box.
Got the right idea but assumes a specific size pizza pan to fit the same size rad core...not always doable....but I like it!

Hey Rick,
Where have you been all my life?
I've been bashing these things out of tin and aluminum for years and never got them to look that nice.
What a great idea!
Now if I could just get the lovely Lynne to look the other way for a second............
Cheers
Fred

And for those who like their crust crispy, how about this use of pizza pan wire mesh:

Crap!!
I've spent the last 27 years making sure that I wasn't allowed in the kitchen.
And now this.

Hey Rick,
Who doesn't have casters on their bed anymore?

Not allowed in the kitchen????? How do you clean your parts without using the dishwasher or powdercoat stuff without the oven? As far as the casters go, I'm saving that for another thread entitled "Bedroom Fun"

Bought the lovely Lynne a 60" wolf last summer as she's a gourmet powdercoater....I mean chef.
That's part of the reason that the gastronomic laboratory is off limits to we the abusers.
The old dishwasher "broke" so had to get a new one. The old one magically repaired itself when I put it in the shop.
It's odd how that happens.
Cheers
Fred

Funny Fred! I had a range that did that.... just need to run power to it...
So far I don't think she's noticed a pattern. Rag washer, dryer, range, dishwasher... Still need a decent fridge though and that might be pushing things a bit. Sometimes intermittent circuits can be your friends. Wonder if that was Lucas' inspiration?
