A couple of guys have PMed me about the VG30/VG33 into an MGB. Very popular swap in 510's.60 degree SOHC V6. I think I have found a distributor for the guys that want to run a carb on the early TBI intake.Instead of the unobtainium Saudi distributor. Ford 250 straight six Duraspark II. Match length, use Nissan gear and Chevy or Ford style hold down. Use an external 4 pin GM HEI mounted on a aluminum plate with heat sink paste. Early exhaust studs should be tapped for one size bigger. The last year 3.0 and all 3.3 have a better timing belt with rounded teeth good for 100,000 miles vs the earlier good for 60,000 miles. Also,Nissan Quest and Mercury Villager minivan and newer 3.3 built in Tennesee are non-interference motors. Picture of Ford distributor and stock distributor. Picture of early Pathfinder/Hardbody TBI intake converted to Holley 2 barrel. Picture of motor with Holley. Link to more engine spec info.

Thanks,Curtis! This is one of my favorite small V6's. It is not as wide as it looks. Look how narrow the intake is.Not nearly as wide as the later DOHC. The valve covers are wide, kind of remind me of an early Hemi. The RWD trans to use would be 240sx,300Z or Pathfinder/Hardbody pickup 5 speed. Rear shifter and ratios close to GM V6. Pictures of engine with trans and trans alone. Also one with Webers on custom intake.
