Rover 3500 Automatic Transmission
I have a mid eighties Rover 3500 sedan Automatic transmission.
Is it any good to anyone? or should I just scrap it?? The trans is complete and still attached to the 3.5 engine. I need more room and I don't need the trans , but if someone does want it let me know and it's yours. Located in Woodstock, Ontario Canada. Thanks Mike |

Re: Rover 3500 Automatic Transmission
That is most likely the old BW-35, 3 speed. If so, it's a solid tranny but ancient. You might find someone looking for one just because it fits the BOPR.

Re: Rover 3500 Automatic Transmission
Mike, The good news is, the bell housing is detachable, making it usefull to adapt a Ford C4 or ToyBorg 30-40,(4spd/od) auto(s). Cheers, roverman.

Re: Rover 3500 Automatic Transmission
It is a Borg Warner Type 65 or 66 for a SD1. They are rare since when some one does a manual conversion they throw away the automatic. Its not a boad transmission. Do you have all the parts: flex plate, converter, dust shield, etc?
