DC Motor Speed Control PWM HHO RC Controller

What do I need to know about DC Motor Speed Control PWM HHO RC Controllers. I want to replace the HUGE, UGLY 3 speed resistor for my AC fan motor on my Jaguar and these DC Motor Speed Control PWM HHO RC Controllers, look like a very simple, thrifty way to do this. Has anyone tried them and good/ bad points to using one of these units? Any better options?
