Cylinder sleeves....
So…. He puts a Rover block onto a hot BBQ Grill to heat it up.. a bit…. In goes his gloved hand…. Out come the sleeves…. Can’t do that with a Buick 215 block. That’s progress?

Re: Cylinder sleeves....
That´s a great video from Dave Coxon and the block is an infamous Rover P38.
AFAIK you can´t do that with a 3,5 or 3,9 block. But I guess you can also call it progress even on a negative scale.. |

Re: Cylinder sleeves...., LS aluminum block motors ?
Perhaps millions in use and no word on sleeve migration problems. Yankee Enginuity ? These engines are typically making double the power of the Rover. I must, at this point stress the benefits of using "Sleeve Retaining Compound" when re-sleeving. Onward, roverman.
