Rover V8 engine measurements

Can anyone help with some measurements please?

I currently have the Rover 3.5 (1976 Rover P6) engine in my Spitfire and it is getting ready for a new bottom end. I may replace the crank and fit oversized bearings, but I may also take the opportunity to upgrade the engine to a later Rover 3.9 or even 4.6 unit.

I know that these later engines had water pumps and pulleys which protrude further forwards out of the front of the engine.
With my current set up I have 20cm between the front of the block (or front of the cylinder head) to the radiator. This allows just enough clearance between the radiator and the nose of the water pump pulley.

What I need to know is the measurement from the front of the block to the most forward part of the pulley system on these later engines to see if I can fit one without relocating the radiator.

Hope this makes sense!

Graham

Graham, Have used our search feature ? Using that little box, type in "215 water pumps". There you will find novel results. Good Luck, roverman.
