T5 top cover plug

I received my internet purchased T5 and found the top cover switch, which is a "neutral gear switch" had been broken. I don't need the switch, as it is used to interrupt the cruise control if the shifter is placed in neutral. I wanted to plug the hole to eliminate oil leakage, and was told by a reputable source that the thread was 5/8-11 pipe. Not so, the actual thread is M16X1.5. I bought an oil plug from Bel-Metric (NFI) and it screws right in. You could probably screw in the pipe threaded plug, but it would deform the threads, and if it leaked, there would be an issue fixing it.
