Hey guys, has anyone used a later gerrator oil pump timing cover as used on the 4.0 and 4.6 in a mgb v8? Im thinking of building a larger engine and would like to use the later pump as its supposed to be better....any success with it? It seems that Richard Cradick is using one....I cant find contact info for him though. Thanks, guys

We had some issues with used front covers with an without the distributor provision. In the end we have to dowel the covers and make sure the tolerances were correct. I don't know if this had anything to do with the warranty engines other than bad liners but there are a few that did have oil pressure issues and I would suspect the oil pump/cover was the culprit.
