oil pressure sending unit
Okay I am going to ask a dumb question. I have rebuild a buick 215 and I cannot find the spot where the oil pressure sending unit goes. There are not any spots on the timing cover or on the block. I purchased this engine in pieces and during the build discovered that the balancer was not a 215 V8 balancer, so I am wondering if the front cover is from a 300? Apparently the engine I bought has been pieced together and not all 215 parts. Can someone tell me the difference?

Re: oil pressure sending unit
The port you're looking for should be on the oil filter mount (a.k.a. valve body), not the front cover. I'm actually using a V6 front cover and filter mount, so I don't have an original 215 mount to look at either, but as I recall it should be just above the oil filter. On the V6 part, I needed an adapter fitting to shift down one tube size...
