225 V6 intake, to port or not to port?

The current intake on my 225 V6 is an Offenhauser 360.
The manifold and intake ports are gasket matched to a FelPro 9943 intake gasket.
These ports are only about 1/4" shorter top to bottom than the later "Tall port" 231 heads.
So these heads have been ported pretty extensively and the engine runs better than any 225 is supposed to.

Consensus here seems to be that the Offy 360 is a pretty poor intake.
I have an untouched KB No. 1 intake.
I believe the KB will be shorter than the Offy, and I need all the space I can get to avoid cutting a hole in the bonnet.

The KB ports are a LOT smaller.
Is there a KB No. 2 I should be looking for, or do I port this one to get close to gasket match?
If I port it the bottom sealing edge will get pretty thin, top edge is already pretty close to correct.

I suggest measuring oah. of the two manifolds/beats guessing. If you must use your KB, add weld to bottom of port flanges ? roverman.
