GM V6 T5 in 78 B --straight up or 17 degrees over?

Parts are coming together....

I picked up a NWC T5 from an 85 V6 Camaro.

Machine shop is putting togethem my 3.4 from a 95 Camaro (bored .030, 260H cam) and should be done in a couple weeks.

I'm looking for a bell housing to mate the two together and wondering which direction to take. Options:

1) find a late 80's S10 bell housing and mount the tranny straight up, modifying the transmission mount to accomodate the tilted foot. Seems like this would give me the simpler solution for a shift lever, not having to bend/weld to fit it in the hole, I want to use an external slave cylinder, not a HTOB and the S10 has the ears on it to mount the external slave cylinder.

or

2) Find a Camaro V6 bell housing from an 82 - 92, mount the tranny at an angle and bend/make a shift lever to fit in the hole. Will the stock Camaro slave cylinder fit in the tunnel with no problem? Will it work with my stock MGB clutch master cylinder?

Pros/Cons of going with one versus the other?

Thanks,

Doug

Went with an 89 S10 bellhousing.
