Power Lock differentials
I could use a little advice here. I've never been into a powerlock before and it seems put together a little odd. First it's out of a Jag, and it has all steel clutches. The odd thing though is that the two clutches with the internal teeth are stacked together instead of being sandwiched in between the other ones. Wouldn't it be less effective that way?
I could use a source for torque specs. And finally I need information on what types of lubricants are acceptable for use in these things? I'd like to run a synthetic gear grease in the case if the powerlock will work right with it. Jim |
