Front Crossmember Notching

I used the forum recomendations for the notching. The only difference was that I added a cover for cosmetics. The angle iron is 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" 3/16" thick. On the backside where the angle is notched I welded backing plates because of the large gap. On the front side wedges are cut out but they close up when you bend the angle to fit the bends in the crossmember.
