I was told this is Buick but I'm thinking it must be later 60's or so if it is as the bell housings I have sen have a higher mounted starter.

Thank You in advance.

p.s. Talk about Buick, I noticed after taking this I have a picture in the background of the 1934 Buick model 56 I helped restore 20 years ago.

Doesn't look Buick to me. It is certainly not a Buick/Old 215 bellhousing. Judging by the tranny mount holes it is a dual pattern 3 or 4speed (& GM T-5). So, it must be some sort of GM bell.

Any casting numbers?

I didn't check for casting numbers but it looks like Greg wins the prise of being the first one to get it right. I certainly have no idea. Ask me about BMC/BL and other British bell housings and I have a shot. This is something a fellow brought in to me and asked if we had any use for it. He knows his GM and Ford stuff and was thinking it was Buick. It is hard to stump this guy so Greg you really win big! :-)
