Crane cam 901151
There is a new crane cam and lifters that came with the parts stash I just acquired. There is no cam card in the box. Box is labelled with a sticker that states part number 901151. Nothing comes up in google. Anybody on here have a clue what the specs on this thing are? Don't want to just throw it in an engine without knowing what it is. Found another number F228/3067-8

Surely some of us still have their old Crane Cams catalog. I know I have an old Comps Cams catalog.
Don't know it you frequent hotrodders.com, but they have them. |

Todd, If you have calipers or 1-2" micrometer, you can get "very close", on lobe lift. Measure slides/flank and subtract from heel/nose dimension. Volvo rockers are closer to 1.5/1. Your results may vary. Indicator on the spring retainer while cranking the cam from heel through nose, use a light checking spring, and you need only spin the cam, not the recip. assembly. Cam specs for the Crane F-228/3067-8 should be: 228/238 degrees duration @ 0.050" lift 290/300 degrees seat duration 0.3067"/0.3200" lobe lift 0.475"/0.496" lift with 1.55:1 rocker ratio 0.490"/0.512" lift with 1.60:1 rocker ratio 108 degrees LSA, 104 degrees ICL Dan Jones |
