I have the engine out of my car to make some mods. I found the dipstick tube was loose and slipped it out and tossed it and the dipstick into a box that, like an idiot, I threw away. Anyone know where I can find replacements and if those parts from another engine will fit my 300?

Dave, there are probably a lot of tubes that will fit the hole in the block, just find one that looks close and slip it in. A coating of solder will tighten up the fit if it's a little loose. When the car is ready for oil then fill to one quart below the recommended amount, insert the dipstick and then mark it by filing a small groove at the oil level, then add another quart and remark. I used this method when I shortened the dipstick and tube in my car for clearance, no problems. You can even use a metal stamp to label the marks if you want.

Thanks, Bill. That's a really good idea.
