What a load of BS. There are no numbers that "match" on the engine or trans to make this a "matching numbers" car. The VIN derivative stamp wasn't used in 1962. Also, how can a modified motor with an aftermarket Offy intake and aftermarket carbs be "numbers matching"?

I'm sure the seller has that much in the car, but actual sale values are about half the asking price for the nicest Skylark hardtop in the world. Good luck to him.

In the comments: " I have one of the engines in my ’65 Crossle’ race prepared which at 4 liters prduces 385hp at 6500rpm. "

Sounds like somebody really knows how to tune these engines :-)

I like the look of it and the original interior.

So, hey, don't be hard on the chap. I mean, they serviced the wheel bearings.

But.... cruelty to fish. Two families of sardines were evicted to make those air filters.

"385 hp. at 6,500 rpm." , with a "friendly" dyno like that, we could sell a lot of RV8's... I pulled the 3 spd.,( Roto Hydro 240) auto from my 61' Cutlass and replaced with a Vega turbo 350/ stg. 1 shift kit. It felt like I had 50 more horses, under the hood and chirped 2nd gear ! Ah the simple th
rills of a bygone era. RIP. lil' Olds...
