Wonder how long the o-ring at the bottom will last?

Carl, 4.9 Cadillac have gone 250,000 miles. I'd smear a little Hylomar on bottom of bores. They are probably Viton. Tough stuff. Just insurance.

So, $80-90 each time they get here ? Could not find dimensions ? Designed to be wet ? If so, deck will be too weak. I believe I'll coat the coolant area of block, with sodium silicate,(egg keep). for extra protection/insurance. art.

Art, No, Dry sleeve. O ring is for preventing water from getting in crankcase if small crack in bore. Same as any Top hat liner except O ring. Brexit exchange rate right now is $1.27 to British LB. Don't know shipping.
