Retorqueing or not, that is the question.

60 miles on the new setup, new manifold, Edelbrock.
Carb torqued to 6 lb ft, manifold to 30 lb and sealant on the bolts.

Phenolic spacer under the carb so that's two gaskets.
Composite manifold gasket.

Where do we stand on retorqueing? Thinking after 500 miles or so? Or sooner?

Presumably if I retorque the manifold I should take out each bolt and re-seal?

Or should I just leave it alone?

Ivor, I would recheck your torque but that's it. I would not take the bolts out. If there are no leaks then there is no need to reseal the bolts. but that is me and I'm sure others will give their opinion. Good luck.
