Mushroom lifters

Hello,

in old F5000 formula Repco Leyland as roller camshafts waren not allowed they used Ford VL21 mushroom lifters. Of course lifter bores were bushed to reduce their diameter to that of the Ford lifter.

Someone has already tested this modification ?

Dimitri, let us know if you find something. It should work for the 300 and 340 also, and could help with the lift limitations on those engines due to limited cam/rod clearance. You might start by following the old path, a lot of those old performance parts are still available.

I had musroom lifters in my old Ford Y block 292. If you use them then you'll need some of these to be able to install the cam. Either that or a lot of friends to hold up all the lifters.
