Intermediate cover is serpentine type, right ? Different pump and pulley and pump rotates in different rotation. Old type pump will not work in intermediate cover. I am not sure if it even physically fits.
If you really need to mate these together a simple adapter plate is needed. Not necessarily pretty though. Or machine a new pulley. Rover used various pumps and pulleys throughout the years and some are most likely NLA. |

That timing cover is made by John Eales. It is designed to be used with SD1 or P6 type water pump, similar to TR8. It is not a factory intermediate cover.

According to John, that is a SD1 pump and I need a P6 pump
I'm trying to see if I can get an adapter made out of al If not I guess Rimmer Bros for a new pump |
