3 Valve Coyote Valvetrain
Anyone familiar with these ? I'm using the , finger roller rocker and dead-end hydraulic lifter/rocker pivot. I measure .815" pivot centerline to roller centerline and likewise to valve tip center line. My math suggest a 2 to one ratio ? In other words, .200" at the lobe would produce .400" at valve tip.
Thoughts ? Thanks, Art. |

Re: 3 Valve Coyote Valvetrain
According to Comp. Cams, Coyote 3 valve. They claim rocker ratio at 1.825/1. Hyd. roller cams to 6.800 rpm. but only .450" lift, int./ehx. I'm using a 2.05" int. Not enough lift. i think I'm designing/building a 3 cyl. Buick ? Buick V6 Stg II head, so why not ?

Re: 3 Valve Coyote Valvetrain
Yep, had one in my 62' Tempest convertible. 3.2L, shook like a 180 crank in a big v8 ! Motor mounts were like pools of jello. They did a good job, but motor shook so much, made a permanent stutterer, out of 1bbl. carb./lol.
This sort-of Buick. 3 cyl. is for a 800 lb., all-aluminum car. We know how I like aluminum-right ? I need a on rear wheel transaxle. Snow mobile or one of those 3 wheel cars ? Onward, Art. |

Art, why don't you ever post pictures of all the bizarre projects you are working on? Inquiring minds want to know.
