Can someone tell me if Buick 300 bell housing has the same bolt pattern as the 215/3.5 ltr engines?

Nope. GM BOP is different from 215/Rover.

215 pattern is kind of a unicorn. It fit some early odd fire V6 applications, the 215, and obviously the Rover. Once the 300 came out, it fit just about everything Buick/Olds onward, including 300, 340, 350, big blocks, and V6. Timing covers for them were also relatively the same except for where timing marks were located, and the different types of crank seals. One thing to keep in mind, if you do find a 215 bell housing. There were two different transmission patterns. One was for the three speed and one was for the four speed. Some have both. The four speed pattern is commonly referred to as the Chevy pattern It was used on T50s and T5s up until 94 or so, and then Chevy switched to the Ford pattern. If you want to run a T5 behind that unicorn 215 bell housing, you need to find an early one. D and D sells their own bell housings at a cost of $550 and also sells an adapter to run a Ford T5 behind the 215 bell for another 150 or so. Nothings cheap or easy to find in regards to Rover V8s any more.

I used the d&d bellhousing and the adapter. With the Ford t5 having the longer input shaft, the thickness of the adapter allows the t5 to bolt up and the input shaft is the correct length. Not to forget the Ford t5 sits straight up not at an angle as the gm t5

$550 PLUS an adapter?

You can still buy a Buick 300 bellhousing for about $125 on ebay. One of the more desireable cable bellhousings sold last week in the BritishV8 auction for $30.

Yet another reason to use the Buick 300.
