I've missed hearing about it. Any Buick 455 gurus here ? Anyone tried swappig a bbc crank with main bearing spacers ? Same bore spacing ? Onward, Art.

Art, the RM was hit by a tree and we are negotiating with the insurance company. Depending on that outcome the remains may be sold to some enterprising individual. The car is salvageable. No glass was broken but it needs a new roof and hatch. If so B.A.D.A.S.S. will proceed in a new direction.

Aside from the tree damage the car is truly well sorted by this point, with AC, electric power steering, cruise, Mr Mike/Fiero seats and of course the freshened up 455, T5 and Jag IRS. We figure it should bring in about $10K as is.

For building the BBB you can't really do better than the BuickV8/BBB forum. With a TA block those have been built to over 700 CID IIRC. Nobody to my knowledge has ever tried to use a Chevy crank in one, but there are aftermarket stroker cranks available.

Jim

AIR., Stock mains are 3.25", to make cast crank strong enough. Kenne Bell used to turn main bearings, black for excessive surface
speeds.
Thanks, Art.
